What if I don’t get it right? What if I don’t know enough? What if I do succeed and I can’t handle it? These and other common questions can keep us stuck and immobile if we don’t answer them. For example, if I don’t get it right, I will acknowledge it and learn from it before I pivot in a new direction. When we simply answer the question, it lessens the fright. While we cannot tell what will happen tomorrow, we can know that courage will keep us moving forward today. In other words, success in any important task will take courage. And the courage to do “it” need only exceed fear by a tiny amount . . . just enough to take the step. Begin to envision what life looks like on the other side of fear. Good, huh? Learn to coach yourself to take courageous acts to get what you’ve always wanted.
