Fully Present

Blog - Fully PresentI’m grateful for the pause button in a really busy day. I’ve learned that those times aren’t readily handed to us. We must deliberately push the pause button and take in the spiritual food of God’s Word that is wonderfully nourishing to our souls.

So, I did.

I paused. Listened to a message from a gifted writer, speaker, and servant of God. I was fully alive and fully present in the moment. Many times I listen as I take care of other things around the house, but today I dropped it all and opened my Bible to follow along. Quite a few things I heard to encourage and empower me in this journey of ministry, and I will share one huge point in hopes that it will too refresh you in your servant journey with Christ. Killing Abel

Blog - Killing Abel- FinalSOMEONE HAS TO DIE! Someone has to pay because I failed to offer an appropriate sacrifice, and now I have been rejected!

Most of us may be inclined to shake our heads when we read the story of Cain and Abel. Why would someone kill his sibling when his sibling did nothing wrong? When he did what was right? It’s not so far-fetched when we think of how some people try to kill others today without laying a finger on them. Ostracizing them. Ignoring them. Rejecting them. Disrespecting them. We may not be “killing Abel” in a literal sense, but some of us are “killing able” figuratively.  Continue reading
